I am an IT professional, and am trying to fix an Office Professional installation on a user's computer. This user had gotten some malware on her computer, so I wiped her computer, reformatted the hard drive and reinstalled Windows 10 from a Dell recovery drive. I installed Office , and it was working okay. A few days after I deployed the PC, the user called to say that Word wouldn't open her documents. When I logged on her computer to take a look, sure enough Word was throwing an error about a.

Rohn MVP. How did you do the uninstall? Did you use the "Fix it" script? Uninstall from control panel leaves some files and registry entries to keep the configuration.
